Nyx is one of the most active fairies she knows. Young fairies tend to spend more time in the sun and air than older fairies who are content to sit around discussing their youth and making rules for Nyx and her friends. But even among the young fairies, Nyx is something special � she has an endless supply of energy.

Nyx loves life and wants to fully experience every minute of it. She stays awake at night to sing with the insects and watch the moon. She watches the sun rise then flies to the top of a mountain to see it rise again. Nyx races her friends and flies as fast as she can just to test her limits. So far Nyx hasn't discovered her limits, she's only trained herself to get faster and more powerful which will help her continue living life with her special kind of enthusiasm.

For fun, Breena loves to fly. While she can fly on her own, she finds she can move much faster and with greater mobility by flying on the back of her pet dragonfly. Ellfredda works hard to find settlements that suit not only her political interest, the relationship between elves and fairies, but solutions that also are agreeable to her own ambitions and those of her close friends.

Aelfwine is extremely popular not just with the other fairies in the forest, but with all manners of magical creatures. She is suitably names Aelfwine which means "friend of the elves," but she has friendships with pixies and sprites as well. She's been known to buddy around with nymphs and mermaids, but she has yet to accomplish one of her most pressing goals.

Aelfwine would love to meet a human. She knows that humans are not to see or speak with fairies and up to this point Aelfwine has followed the fairy rules closely. But sometimes she sneaks up to campers or hikers in the forest to watch them walk or visit and wonders what harm there would be in simply greeting them and trying to strike up a friendship. The temptation to socialize with humans is growing stronger for Aelfwine and it is just a matter of time before she finds herself a human friend - could it be you?
